All electricians that are seeking to renew or shelve their license are required to take four (4) hours of continuing education prior to renewing or shelving their license. All continuing education providers must be approved by the Electrical Licensing Board. No active or shelved license will be renewed unless you supply the Westchester County Department of Consumer Protection with written proof that you have taken the appropriate class.

The provisions of this article shall not apply to any person who performs such inspections as an employee of the State of New York, any agency of the State of New York, or any county, city, town or village.
